Alex had been planning the perfect San Diego day for his bride to be with us for quite some time leading up to the day. His attention to detail and desire to make everything perfect was a true gentlemen's touch! The day was here, and boy could we not have asked for a better scenery and sky that night at II Fornaio in Coronado, CA. Not everything went according to Alex's Plan (As you'll see later) but, if the plan doesn't work, change the plan, but never the goal! Alex's Goal all along was to surprise his best friend with a night to remember forever. He certainly did not disappoint as they started with a romantic gondola ride from the Gondola Company. As the sun set, Alex brought Alexa to II Forniao's lookout to ask the most important question of his life. Hands shaking, and nerves racing, he held close the one who he wished to spend the rest of his life with. As they soaked in the beautiful scenery of the San Diego Bay, Alex took the leap and knelt to his knee. Asking one question seems so simple, but in the moment feels heart wrenching. Alexa took no time to share her love as well and say that one simple word... YES! Now you would think, that plan didnt't fail. You are right, almost! When planning the most important day of your life, many things cycle through your head. Thoughts of how the plan could steer wrong. Not in a million years did Alex plan for a mob of children (none related to them) to rush toward them right after the big moment. Each child wanting to see the ring, some even asking to be invited to their wedding. It was a moment they'd never forget. Some memories are unforgettable, remaining ever vivid and heartwarming. Not all of life's plans go accordingly, and life's not perfect. But it does have perfect moments. The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us! Congrats Alex & Alexa!
