With fingers still thawing, I write this for you. Hoping you too will share in the experience of our recent wedding session. Let me set the scene. Towering pine trees, whisteling winds, snow coated pathways, freezing temperatures, rapid waters and a mission. A mission to capture two souls joining as one, saying “I do,” and venturing off on THEIR grand mission as Mr & Mrs. So as I sit here typing, feeling frozen, I am overcome with a warmth. I warm heart! The joy these two radiated from just pure smiles, while clinging onto each other as the winds tried to sweep them away was unfathomable.
We started our trek out to Lake Cuyamaca before hand in hopes of finding the best lighting, weather (funny looking back), and composition. To our surprise it was way colder than the forecast had predicted and the winds were surpassing 40 mph. But that wasn’t going to stop us or the couple! After having a quick car warm up, we raced out to the dock at Chambers Park. As the winds speed past and the water roared, we all held onto the hope that we would be able to withstand the battle. Boy oh boy did we not expect the amazing turnout! Like something straight from Vogue magazine.
